However, Life isn’t just about living independently in society. It is certainly much more than that. Hence, quality of Life carries huge importance. Above all, the ultimate purpose should be to live a meaningful life. A meaningful life is one which allows us to connect with our deeper self.
It is beautiful, but not always. It has lots of problems you have to face everyday. Don’t worry though! All these problems make you strong, it gives you courage to stand alone in future, so enjoy every moment of your life. Life is full of moments of joy, pleasure, success and comfort punctuated by misery, defeat, failures and problems.
There is no human being on Earth, strong, powerful, wise or rich, who has not experienced, struggle, suffering or failure. You have to work hard to reach to the highest position. Life is full of paths, you just have to choose the right one. Life is interesting and amazing like the stars up in the skies.
Therefore, It is full of ups and downs but whatever It is full of, every moment of the life teaches you something very important and so each can be enjoyed. Keeping this in mind here are some tips which can help you with the same.
1. Stop worrying.

It’s tough to be productive and joyful in your daily activities when anxiety and worry are dominating your thoughts and distracting you from work, school, or your home life. This is where the strategy of postponing worrying can help. Rather than trying to stop or get rid of an anxious thought, give yourself permission to have it, but put off dwelling on it until later.
You can’t fully appreciate today if you worry too much about tomorrow. Realize that tomorrow is going to happen whether you worry about it or not. And since worry has never accomplished anything for anybody, redirect your mental energy elsewhere.
2. Be present in the moment.
Thinking about how much time you’ve wasted through the years by dwelling on things you can’t change from the past, or worrying about things you can’t predict or alter in the future. It can cause you a lot of stress and anxiety when you get lost in that way of thinking, especially when you recognize how powerless you are to alter the past or future. The only thing you can change is this present moment right now, and it starts with being mindful of where you are, what you’re doing, and what is happening around you.
- Observe what is happening around you without judgment.
- Simply notice your environment and any events unfolding around you.
- Try to describe your surroundings or any events happening in your immediate environment. Focus on concrete, observable sensory information.
- Notice how you fit in with your environment. As you breathe in the air around you, walk across the ground, or sit quietly, recognize without judgment that you are temporarily a part of this place.
3. Keep Smiling.
Smile – the natural emotion of happiness. It is the most powerful emotion that can change your life. It is the one thing that curves a straight line. Keep smiling and life will be much easier and joyful for you. For every problem you face, a simple smile can help you to deal with it. If you keep smiling, you would feel relaxed and attain peace of mind.
As it is said “There is always a reason to smile” . And if you are still searching, the following are the reasons for you to smile right now.
- You woke up today.
You are alive and living. You have a chance to do something great today. You can right the wrongs of yesterday and even prepare for a better day tomorrow. Regardless, you have today and you should make the most out of it. - Your smile can make another person’s day.
Whether it’s your best friend, your parents, or even a stranger on the street, your smile can affect someone’s day. Someone could be having a really bad day and by simply giving them a smile, they can turn their whole day around. A smile can make anybody feel better. A smile really does do the trick so don’t ever feel afraid to share your smile with someone else. - You did something you thought you could never do.
- Your smile is contagious.
One smile can lead to many others. Everyone likes a good smile and sometimes a smile is so nice that you just can’t help but smile back. - You have your health, friends, family.
- You are here for a reason.
Every time you smile you throw a feel good party to your mind. Happier the mind , more amazingly you can enjoy your life. So smile and let the whole world see your dimples.
4. Live Within Your Means.
Everyone wants to make enough money – but we never really make enough money until we cross the billion mark where we can spend as much money without worrying about tomorrow. In the frantic search for more money and a better life, some people end up taking loans that add to their day’s stress. There is no way to enjoy your day when you have seven messages from payday lenders, a few more from your bank, a couple from friends and relatives, and a couple from your electricity company.
When you live life within your means, you will have enough money to take care of all your bills without going to any lender. You will have the peace to enjoy every minute in your day. Debts take away your joy, your life, your health and many more.
5. Stay positive.
Life is fun if you have a positive approach towards it. Do not let negativity affect you in any way. Read positive books and quotes to feel positive. An optimistic outlook can help to solve the biggest problems in life. And if there will be little or no problems in your life then you can live you life with joy and happiness instead of spending it.
- Make an effort to find a positive side in everything
You can’t control what happens to you, but one thing you can control is how you respond. It’s up to you to look for the right side in everything and react most positively. - Always be grateful
It is impossible to feel depressed in life if you have so many things to be grateful. No matter how inferior things may turn out, you must realize that we still have things in our lives what most people on earth don’t have. The research found that your brain always focuses on the negative elements of life, like tragedies, failures, worries, etc. That’s why we need to focus more on good things. - Create a positive environment
It is vital to have positive people around you who will help you to stay positive in negative situations. Circle yourself with people who will support you and lift you instead of dragging you down.
6. Meditate.
Meditation will improve your focus, attention, clarity and will keep your mind calm. It keeps you from getting stressed out and keeps you happy in the long run. It is beneficial for both the body and mind.
According to a Harvard researcher Matt Killingsworth, wandering mind will not make us happy. Meditation helps you to concentrate and pay attention to the present and accept it without judging. It is useful in forgetting about the past and not worry about the future.
The basic goal of most meditations is to focus on the present moment without distraction or disturbance. This may sound easy in theory, but it can take a lot of work to cultivate a mindful meditation practice. However, any effort you put into meditating will reward you with a sense of calmness and an enhanced perspective of the present.
7. Eliminate distractions.
There are many things that might distract you from enjoying a moment. In addition to the countless thoughts running through your head, you might easily become distracted by your electronic device(s). Incoming text messages, phone calls, emails, and social media updates can all distract you from whatever you’re trying to do. Whether you want to spend quality time with others, or simply sit alone in a calm environment, your cellphone (or your friends’ phones) can quickly ruin the moment.
- Personal devices like cellphones and tablets can distract you from a moment, whether it’s a moment spent alone or with others.
- Try scheduling your device usage, making time for device-free activities, or simply turning your phone off when you’re trying to enjoy a moment alone or with others.
8. Stay healthy.
There is a very big impact of health on our life. It can also be one of the reason for your life to be either enjoyable or depressed. Staying healthy physically can help you stay healthy emotionally too. If you’re eating the right food and keeping fit, your body will be strong and help you to cope with stress and also fight illness. A healthy lifestyle can help you thrive throughout your life. Making healthy choices isn’t always easy, however. It can be hard to find the time and energy to exercise regularly or prepare healthy meals. However, your efforts will pay off in many ways, and for the rest of your life.
- Eating and drinking the right things
It can be hard to keep a healthy diet. Especially when there’s a temptation to eat sweets and junk food. But it’s important to get a balance in your diet of the right amount of each food group. - Getting regular exercise
Exercise is a great way to relax after being in lessons all day. You’re recommended to take at least half an hour of exercise every day if you can. You might get some of this through your PE lessons in school, but it’s also good to do more exercise outside school if you can. - Avoid things that harm your health
Smoking, drinking alcohol and taking drugs can harm your health and cancel out the effects of a good diet and exercise.
Doing these things can:
lower your immune system, which protects you from getting ill
cause mental health problems
cause depression.
9. Practice acceptance.
You may be tempted to force some type of evaluation on the present moment. Perhaps you’re thinking about how much better this moment is than a moment last week, or you might be thinking this moment would be made better if some other factor were different. However, these types of evaluations can hamper your ability to mindfully enjoy the present moment as it is. Instead, work to accept every moment, and let thoughts or emotions exist without imposing values or judgments.
- Resist the urge to judge. Any kind of value statement/thought can be a judgment, even considering something “cool” or “fun” or “beautiful”.
Judgments extend beyond people and places. You may be judging the situation you’re in, the weather you’re exposed to, or even the thoughts running through your head. - Accept things. Mindfulness requires you to work at accepting things as they are without imposing value or judgment on them. This takes work, but once you are able to accept things in the present moment you will feel much more at peace.
- Stop judging others. Any time you find yourself judging someone or something, try to catch yourself and stop yourself in mid-thought. Think to yourself, “I will let this pass without judgment,” and try to let go of that thought.
- Feel the moment. Try to recognize that enjoying this moment as it is, without judgment or desire, will make it that much more meaningful to you. That meaning will stay with you as a strong, positive memory of the present moment.
